@plantmanager I don't smell anything bad. I also have the other two plants with smelly flowers and I have never smelled carrion when they bloomed. The duthmans Pipe is more of a vine that dies back when it wants. They are fun in a greenhouse because I let them grow where ever they want. No harm done for it is must temporary. These flowers were hanging up in the peek of the greenhouse in the winter. They are as big as a mans hand or bigger and feel like the skin you peel off your back after you have a sunburn. They are soft, tender and delicate.

Did you ever plant moon flowers. They might be fun in a large greenhouse. They are vines and the flowers only bloom in the evening. Each flower is the size of a dinner plate! Each flower blooms just once and lasts from early evening until late at night. Think very large morning glories!

I've had most of the Stapelias, and some of them smell really bad. It's nice the Dutchman's pipe isn't that way. I have had brugmansias blooming in the GH and they were pretty overpowering.
I've never had moonflowers, but I've always wanted to plant a moon garden with only white and silver plants that bloom at night.

The moonflowers are white, so they would be good for your moon garden. A neat place to make the garden is over near your observatory.

That reminds me, I have to order my wild flower seeds for this season. I get them from Vermont Wild Flowers...and, they have Moonflower seeds.

You're right. That is a wild hillside with just junk plants. If I could tame it I could have a garden there. It's very wind swept, so some plants might not be too happy.
Looks like you'll have some wonderful flowers!
